Using the ME-Synapse LAN as wireless and mobile system

With the ME-Synapse, Meilhaus Electronic has developed a solution that allows the implementation of the proven ME-series of boards in USB or Ethernet environments. In combination with the Acksys WLg-Link, it is now possible to control the Synapse LAN from a laptop or PC via a wireless Ethernet/WiFi network. The I/Os of the data acquisition card in the ME-Synapse can be interfaced in many different ways using the standard interface connectors or the 8B signal conditioning modules that adapt the I/Os to most sensor requirements. The acquired data is then transferred via a wireless connection to a PC or notebook where they can be analyzed, logged, or processed as needed. Thanks to the intelligent driver system ME-iDS the programmer can control a remote board in a ME-Synapse LAN just as easily as a locally installed card. The system is just as ideal for automotive testing as it is for any other mobile data acquisition applications.

Wireless data communication is a standard for mobile applications in automotive, transportation, geology and environmental fields. Meilhaus Electronic offers various wireless modules for Point-to-Point connections, Ethernet to Serial adapters, and other interface converters by the French wireless specialist Acksys. Acksys products are being used world-wide in the areas of public transportation, the monitoring of vehicles and processing in mines, in geology and environmental technology, security and surveillance, and in facility and production monitoring. Due to the wide spectrum of applications, Meilhaus Electronic offers various ranges such as industry modules, offering a DIN-rail mountable rugged metal enclosure and small, compact and environmentally sealed modules for mobile applications. Pre-Configured Compact PCI PC-DAQ-Station

Demanding industrial measurement- and control systems require other hardware than standard home or office PCs. Meilhaus Electronic offers the ME-Neuron – A robust iPC in a rugged metal enclosure with 19” and DIN-rail mounting capabilities. The ME-Neuron is based on the proven 3 RU compact PCI standard and is available as low profile 2 or 6-slot version. Configured as a turnkey solution, it can be used as a stand-alone measurement PC to acquire data, control applications, or for real-time HIL setups based on the Scale-RT software by COSATEQ (www.cosateq.de). Thanks to the cooperation with MCD-Elektronik (www.mcd-elektronik.de), the ME-Neuron can also be used as data logger and as a powerful basis of an automated testing system.
