Subject: | "Native" USB versions of the digital boards designed by Meilhaus Electronic, MEphisto Digital series |
The Meilhaus Electronic MEphisto Digital series offers professional USB DAQ and control technology: Robust, solid metal housings instead of plastic, professional expandability instead of limited functionality, professional driver software instead of limited "ready-to-use" software. Inside the MEphisto Digital boxes, the "heart" of the tried and tested ME PCI DAQ board series is beating: The ME boards are well known for their industrial reliability and good support software. The USB and plug-in board versions for PCI, CompactPCI und PCI-Express are compatible with each other in software, connectivity and functionality (however, the USB versions don't support interrupt functionality). The MEphisto Digital series includes three models: MEphisto Digi has the technical heart of the TTL counter and digital I/O board ME-1400. This means that the USB box has six 16 bit counters and 48 digital I/O lines. The TTL lines can be expanded with external modules with opto-isolation or relays. The second model, MEphisto Opto, is the USB version of the ME-8200. It offers 8 or 16 opto-isolated digital inputs and 8 or 16 opto-isolated digital outputs as well as 16 TTL digital I/O channels. A special feature of these opto channels is their level of up to 50 V and the ability to drive loads up to 700 mA. Finally, MEphisto Switch is the USB version of the ME-630 with 8 or 16 relays type C up to 2 A/30 V as well as 16 TTL digital I/O channels, 8 opto-isolated digital inputs and 8 TTL or opto-isolated digital inputs.
Just like the plug-in board versions, the USB modules are supported by the driver system ME-iDS for Windows Vista, XP and 2000 (the board versions also for Linux). The boxes are easy to program with most of the popular programming environments, for example Visual C/C++, Visual Basic, LabVIEW or VEE Pro.
Cables, terminal blocks and expansions for the TTL digital channels (for additional opto-isolation or relay) are available.
