3) 4x 8 bit ports. On the models without "i": All ports with TTL level, each port programmable as input or output. On the models "i": 2x 8 bit ports with opto-isolation (one 8 bit input port and one 8 bit output port) plus 2x 8 bit non-isolated/TTL ports (each port programmable as input or output).

4) On this version, two of the four 8 bit TTL ports (port C/D, pin-connector/additional connector ME AK-D25F/S) are replaced by:
Frequency counter: 4 independent TTL inputs for measurement of frequency and duty cycle of periodic square signals (max. 8.25 MHz).
Impulse generator: 4 independent TTL outputs for periodic square signals up to 8.25 MHz with variable duty cycle.
