Benefits of the Indu-Sol PB-Q ONE - Test the Physical and Logical PROFIBUS Transmission Quality

  • Simplified topology illustration with measuring site management.
  • Well-structured, editable report to process further in *.pdf or *.doc format.
  • Simple evaluation through traffic light function.

Indu-Sol PB-Q ONE PROFIBUS Quality Tester

The Indu-Sol PROFIBUS tester PB-Q ONE reliably evaluates the state of the physical and logical transmission quality in PROFIBUS networks. The connection of the PB-Q ONE hardware to the PROFIBUS network is largely non-reactive to the PROFIBUS network. So analysis of the communication quality is possible in the active/running network. With the PROFIBUS tester PB-QONE the transmission levels of the slaves in operation can be physically evaluated and displayed by a measurement bar chart as well taking into account the 7-V-drivers of modern PROFIBUS devices. All measurement and test results can be displayed and logged on the PC via a supplied software.

  • Quality tester for the PROFIBUS communication, with hardware/USB module and software.
  • For use with RS485-based PROFIBUS with rates of 9.6 kbit/s...12 Mbit/s; connector: 9-pin D-sub male.
  • PC-connection: USB 2.0, USB bus-powered (500 mA).
  • Dimensions (HxWxD, mm): 60 x 117 x 35.
  • IP20 protection.
  • Evaluation of physical quality:
    • Signal quality: The PB-Q ONE is able to ascertain the amount of the voltage difference and the shapes of the signals during PROFIBUS telegram transmissions. The results are visualized in form of a bar diagram, showing a quality value for each analysed bus device.
    • Signal to noise ratio: The signal to noise ration indicates, how far the signal of a device is affected by external interferences or signal fluctuations. It helps to recognize sporadic physical errors.
  • Evaluation of communication quality:
    • Device details: All bus devices are presented in form of a tree diagram, including address, module name and device symbol. This allows a quick condition evaluation of each device.
    • Telegram mode: Extends the range of analyses of the data traffic in terms of events and certain data content with a large number of filters and triggers.
    • Master simulator: Determines the actually wired bus topology and analyse the signal quality of the connected bus devices. The master simulator is used in the offline mode without SPC.
  • Well-structured, editable report in .pdf or .doc format for further processing.

Included: PROFIBUS quality tester PB-Q ONE hardware module, user manual, CD/software (Indu-Sol Suite), case, adaptor cable 9-pin D-sub (connects device to PROFIBUS system), USB cable (2 m).
