Copper Mountain VNA Webinars

Web-Seminar 1: Third Order Intercept Measurements for Amplifiers

  • Date: 2021-1-26.
  • Time: 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm (incl. 15 minutes of questions/answers session).
  • How to participate:
Send an E-Mail to sales@meilhaus.com, re: "Copper Mountain Web-Seminar 1".
We will send you the access information in time via e-mail (please quote the e-mail address to which the access information shall be sent).
  • Subject:
Third order intercept or IP3 is a hypothetical point at which the fundamental signal power and the third order signal power is the same.
In practice, we can never reach this point as the amplifier saturates even before this condition occurs.
Calculating the Third Order Intercept is a method of quantifying intermodulation distortion (IMD) and determining the linearity of a device under test.
This is important for verifying RF performance for applications in 5G, Phase Array Antennas, Transceivers etc.

Web-Seminar 2: Vector Mixer Measurements

  • Date: 2021-2-23.
  • Time: 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm (incl. 15 minutes of questions/answers session).
  • How to participate:
Send an E-Mail to sales@meilhaus.com, re: "Copper Mountain Web-Seminar 2".
We will send you the access information in time via e-mail (please quote the e-mail address to which the access information shall be sent).
  • Subject:
As the demand for high frequency applications increases, RF components such as mixers and filters play a critical role in most RF system design.
The vector mixer calibration method allows for measurement of mixer transmission complex S-parameters including phase and group delay of the transmission coefficient.
This method ensures a matching frequency at both test ports of the analyzer and in normal operation mode.
It finds applications in 5G Spectrum, Antenna designs like Receivers, Transmitter, Transceiver etc.
