Rohde & Schwarz HMF2525/HMF2550 Function Generators and Arbitrary Waveform Generators
The Rohde & Schwarz HMF25xx series are function generators for standard waveforms such as sine, square, pulse, triangle, ramp, and arbitrary waveform generators in one. The HMF2525 variant has a frequency range from 10 µHz to 25 MHz (sine, square wave) and the HMF2550 model from 10 µHz to 50 MHz. As pulse generators, the devices deliver pulses with a repetition rate of up to 12.5 MHz or 25 MHz; The pulse width can be set from 15 ns to 999 s with a resolution of 5 ns. The rise/fall time can be selected between 8 ns and 500 ns – a very useful function when characterizing the input hysteresis of a semiconductor device. Arbitrary waveforms can be defined using the PC software. Stored waveforms are loaded via the front USB port or imported using the complementary HMExplorer software (available for download).
