Brainboxes PX Series LPT and Serial Interface Boards for PCI-Express
The Brainboxes PX series are PC interface boards/cards for the PCI-Express bus (x1, x4, x8 x16 lane). Depending on the version, they have one LPT port and/or 1 or 2 serial ports, type RS232 or RS422/485. Models with isolated serial ports are available. All models use standard connectors, i.e. 9-pin D-sub male for serial, 25-pin D-sub female for LPT. Special versions are available for POS applications. They provide up to 1 A power to attached peripherals. The extra power necessary is supplied to the card directly from the PC power supply unit through a Serial ATA SATA or IDE or ATA PATA power connector.
