The NI Digilent Ettus USRP B206mini-i (6002-410-047) is a flexible and compact platform that is an ideal solution for both hobbyist and OEM applications. It offers a wide frequency range from 70 MHz to 6 GHz and a user-programmable, industrial-grade AMD Spartan-6 XC6SLX150 FPGA. The RF front end uses the Analog Devices AD9364 RFIC transceiver with an instantaneous bandwidth of 56 MHz. The card is powered via a high-speed USB 3.0 connection to stream data to the host computer. The USRP B206mini-i also features connectors for GPIO, JTAG, and synchronization with a 10 MHz clock reference or PPS time reference input signal.
Experiments with the low-cost SDR USRP B206mini-i include FM and TV broadcasting, cellular communications, GPS, WiFi, and ISM. Users can immediately start prototyping in GNU Radio and participate in the open-source SDR community. Full support from the USRP Hardware Driver (UHD) software enables seamless reuse of code from existing designs, compatibility with open-source applications such as HDSDR and OpenBTS, and an upgrade path to industrial-grade USRP systems.
