Models R&S NGU201, NGU401, NGU411
The Rohde & Schwarz source-measure units (SMU) of the NGU series are 2- or 4-quadrant current source and measuring instrument in one. The units offer six ranges for current measurement and up to 6½ digits resolution for voltage, current and power measurement. The ammeter allows precise current measurements from a few nA to the ampere range in one pass without interruptions. Thanks to their 2- or 4-quadrant architecture, the SMUs can operate both as a source up to 60 W and as a sink up to 60 W, emulating batteries or loads. The channels are floating, overload and short-circuit proof. Short regulation times also allow use for rapid load changes (for example switching from sleep to transmit mode for mobile communication devices). Fast voltage or current changes can be recorded at a data rate of up to 500,000 Samples/s.
