TekBox TBCG3-RN6/RN2/CN Comb-Generators up to 3 or 6 GHz
The TekBox comb generators TBCG3-RN2 and TBCG3-RN6 are primarily intended for testing radiation setups. They are used to verify the proper operation of antennas and preamplifiers, as well as the accurate setup and configuration of spectrum analyzers. The devices are well characterized in an anechoic chamber, and the radiated emission patterns can be used as a reference to compare a DUT in a less than ideal setup with the comb generator in the same location.
Five fixed comb frequencies can be selected with a rotary switch, as well as an external comb frequency input with a range from 5 kHz to 200 MHz. The comb generators are supplied with two monopole antennas, a 30-cm monopole for frequencies up to 300...500 MHz and a 10-cm monopole for frequencies above that. The radiated comb spectrum is characterized from 5 MHz to 3 or 6 GHz. The TBCG3-RN2 and the TBCG3-RN6 have a 50-Ω output with an N female connector. The devices are powered by six AA NiMH rechargeable batteries each and are supplied including an external charger. The housing is machined from solid aluminum. The bottom has a 1/4" - 20 UNC thread that accepts normal tripod bolts.
The TekBox TBCG3-CN comb generator is primarily designed to verify conducted emission test set ups. It is a useful tool to validate correct operation of the LISN, correct set-up and correct configuration of the spectrum analyzer.
