FOTRIC Handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras and R&D Test Station for Electronics Assemblies

US manufacturer FOTRIC supplies rugged, compact handheld thermal imaging cameras for industrial and field applications. Depending on the model, thermal resolution ranges up to 384 x 288 and sensitivity up to 40  mK. Thanks to 49° and 46° wide-angle lenses, aiming and recording of large scenes is also possible.

The FOTRIC 600 R&D is a temperature test station with thermal imaging camera, consisting of a robust fixture, the camera and software for the PC. Thanks to options with 20 µm and 50 µm macro lenses, the system is ideally suited for temperature analysis of microstructures such as chips and printed circuit boards.

Applications of Thermal Imaging Cameras in Current Focus:

  • E-vehicle batteries: Thermal imaging camera as an ideal non-invasive measurement tool provides real-time temperature data and battery surface thermal fingerprint for Li-ion battery thermal behavior study. Detect thermal inhomogeneity and temperature distribution on the battery surface. Monitor dynamic heat generation during discharge and charge processes and provide timely warning before thermal runaway occurs due to anomalies.
