Ceyear-6418C Handheld Mini OTDR
The Ceyear-6418C is an extremely compact and lightweight handheld device for optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR). It is used to determine and analyze reflections and characterisitcs of light signals in fiber optic transmissions. The Ceyear-6418C provides a 4-path optical interface for simultaneous optical power meter, VFL, single-mode and multi-mode testing. The instrument has three operating modes: "Manual", "automatic" and "dead zone". In "automatic" mode, the Ceyear-6418C automatically sets the optimized test conditions according to the test requirements.
- High-performance OTDR, offers three test modes: "Manual" (real-time, or average), "automatic" and "dead zone".
- ≤0.8 m ultra-short event dead zone, especially suitable to test short optical fiber lines and optical fiber jumpers.
- Up to 45 dB large dynamic range, 256 k data sample points.
- Ideal test instrument for FTTx, with special built-in PON (passive optical network) network test function. It can conduct high-precision test on all branches of PON network through 1:8...1:64 optical driver.
- Built-in VFL (visual fault locator) function with 3 operating modes: CW/1 Hz/0.5 Hz.
- VFL can rapidly and conveniently find the breaking point or remarkable loss point along short-distance optical fiber lines.
- 4 paths of optical interface which can simultaneously realize the functions of an optical power meter, VFL, single-mode and multi-mode tests.
- Pulse width from 5 ns to 20480 ns for single-mode and 5 ns to 1280 ns with 850 nm multimmode option.
- Distance accuracy of ±(0.75 m + sampling spacing + 0.0025% x distance)*.
- Low linearity deviation typ. 0.03 dB/dB.
- Optical connector options such as LC/UPC, SC/UPC, ST/UPC selectable along with the standard built in FC/UPC.
- Large capacity Lithium-Ion battery (14.8 V, 4400 mAh) for operation over 8 hours.
- Automatic detection of the communication light signal in the fiber under test, once the fiber is connected to the optical connector. If the device notices any light signal, the alarm rings up, in order to provide protection for the instrument in time.
- Wide 6.5"/15.5 cm TFT color LCD touch screen.
- USB, Mini-USB, Ethernet/LAN, Earphone and SD Interface.
- Software SyncActive for OTDR; can be updated on-line. OTDR supports Bellcore GR196 and SR-4731 file format.
