The Siglent SDS1000X HD series are 12-bit high-resolution digital oscilloscopes. Compared to the SDS800X HD series they offer a 10.1"/25.7 cm instead of 7"/17.8 cm capacitive touch display, and a slightly extended range of functions. The SDS1000X HD series oscilloscopes have 2 or 4 analog channels and 16 digital channels (MSO option - software licence and additional logic probes required).

• Analog channel bandwidth up to 100, or 200 MHz; real-time sampling rate up to 2 GS/s.
• Vertical resolution 12 bit.
• Low noise floor, as low as 70 µV_RMS at full 200 MHz bandwidth.
• SPO technology:
  • Waveform capture rate up to 500,000 wfm/s (sequence mode), 120,000 wfm/s (normal mode).
  • Supports 256 levels of waveform brightness and color temperature display.
  • Memory depth up to 100 Mpts.

For a long time, 8-bit A/D converters were the standard in commercially available oscilloscopes. However, the trend is now clearly moving towards a higher resolution of 12 bit.
With the HD series, Siglent is now following this trend after the high-end A series SDS7000A also with the Performance/X series: advanced 12-bit technology at an attractive price.
